Nina- Unfortunately, the only versions I was able to locate online are low to moderate resolution–not suitable for large format projection. The originals are based in Russia, and wouldn’t be accessible through ordinary connections. Sorry. Look at other 19th c. Russian painters, who might help set the mood, or just have the audience focusing on your beautiful performance. Always the best approach!

In reference to the remarks above about listening to the piano version rather than the orchestrated one, try Vladimir Ashkenazy’s orchestration and piano versions. He researched out the original piano score and argues that Ravel and all other later versions repeat mistakes in the piano version and smooth out Mussorgsky’s real intentions in too smoothly prepared orchestra versions.
