Morris Museum of ArtPainters’ Reel: Contemporary Painting in GeorgiaJUNE 19–SEPTEMBER 26, 2010
Rocio Rodriguez, July 5, 06 No. 1, 2008, 8.5 x 9 inches. Originally organized by the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Macon, the exhibition features work by ten of Georgia’s most accomplished and famed contemporary artists, including several with long-standing ties to the Morris Museum—among them Don Cooper, Cheryl Goldsleger, Philip Morsberger, and Tom Nakashima. The work in the exhibition is distinguished by masterly technique, fantastic imagery, and a wonderful sense of color. This is the last opportunity to view this body of work, as it will be dispersed on the closing of the exhibition at the Morris. |
